Editorial Policy

People come to Djinn Guide out of curiosity, study, or because something in their own life made them wonder. This page explains how we write our articles, so you know what you can expect from us.

Our mission

We explain jinn, khodam, Ifrit, Solomonic seals, the Goetia and related folklore from their sources, in a calm and honest way. We try to show where a tradition comes from, what the texts actually say, and where later stories or modern popular claims go beyond them.

How articles are written

  • Sources first. We start from primary texts and recognized scholarship where they exist, and we name them so you can check them yourself.
  • Source versus interpretation. We aim to separate what a text says, what later writers added, and what is repeated online without a source.
  • Many traditions, one word. The same name or symbol can mean different things in different traditions. We say which tradition we are describing.
  • Clear structure. Each guide opens with a short answer, then gives the history, the details and the most common questions.
  • Ordinary explanations first. When an article touches on personal experiences, we mention medical, emotional and everyday explanations alongside spiritual ones.

What we will not do

  • We do not sell amulets, talismans, spells or “removal” services.
  • We do not promise guaranteed results or fixed timelines.
  • We do not use fear to push readers toward a decision.
  • We do not publish invented testimonials, fake reviews or made-up experts.

Commercial links and independence

The site is free to read. Some articles contain affiliate links to books on Amazon and links to our partner PuraTarot, as explained in our Affiliate Disclosure. Commercial relationships never decide what we write: an article gives the same information whether or not it contains a link, and partner boxes are kept separate from the article itself.

Reader reviews

Reviews are written by readers and moderated before they appear. We publish positive and critical reviews alike, as long as they are honest and respectful, and we never write reviews ourselves.

Illustrations

Some images on the site are editorial illustrations created with digital tools. They are not photographs of real events or objects unless a caption says so.

Updates and corrections

We review our articles regularly and update them when information changes or a reader points out a problem. If you believe something is wrong or unclear, please write to [email protected] with the article title, the passage and, if you can, a supporting reference. We read every message and correct confirmed errors as quickly as we can.
